Africa moves on the informal.
We give it a spine.

We digitise the informal transport sector, country by country, starting with the trotro in Ghana.

The mission

We give African transport superpowers.

The trotro, the danfo, the matatu already move the continent, with no timetable, no data, and cash that no one can trace. We keep the network the streets built and add the layer it never had: digital payment, real-time tracking, and honest numbers, for drivers, owners, passengers and cities alike.

Our first promise isn't to the passenger. It's to the vehicle owner: for the first time, see every cedi your vehicle actually earns.

  1. 01Digitise the fareRiders pay by app, QR or USSD on the mobile-money rails they already use, cash optional, never a closed wallet.
  2. 02Make revenue honestOwners and drivers see real-time takings. Trust replaces guesswork, the wedge that makes the sector adopt.
  3. 03Build the networkReal-time maps, driver wallets, financial services and city-grade data, the operating system for informal transport.

Products & countries

Local names on the street. One company behind them.

Each country keeps the name of its own iconic vehicle, an identity you can't buy. Urbans Africa is the guarantor behind all of them.

Social impact

Technology that lifts people, not just fares.

Informal transport feeds millions of families and moves the cities that power Africa's economy, yet its workers are invisible to banks, unprotected, and squeezed. Digitising it isn't about control. It's about dignity, inclusion and opportunity for the people who keep the continent moving.

Livelihoods
Fairer income for drivers & mates

Transparent takings end the daily leakage and exploitation, more of every fare reaches the people who earn it, with savings and credit built in.

Inclusion
Banking the unbanked

A driver wallet and a digital track record bring millions of informal workers, and their vehicles, into the formal financial system for the first time.

Dignity
Safer, respected journeys

Recorded, traceable trips mean safer rides, especially for women and students, and long-overdue recognition for a profession that has always been the city's backbone.
